Another year older......8!!!

Nathan turned 8 on October 14 and honestly I just can't believe it!!!! There is no way that my "baby" can be this old?!?!?!?! If you don't believe that time flies, watch out because IT DOES!!!
This year we had an ALL boy, ALL sports birthday party :) Nathan and his friends had a blast playing football, kickball, dodge ball, sharks and minnows and tug of war. They were all a sweaty mess by the end of the party....which with boys = success!!!

The birthday boy and myself

At Sports Academy all the Birthday kiddos get to leave a hand print on their birthday wall! So cute!

Thanks boys for making Nathan's 8th birthday special and so much fun!

Sports, Sports and more Sports

I don't know about you people but we have been SUPER busy this fall. It's been lots of fun but definitely busy. My mom laughs at me because she says before I had children I always talked about how I wanted little boys................well I got 'em!!!! We have either been at a baseball game, soccer game/practice, golf lessons or karate. Phew, I AM TIRED!!! This was Wilson's first "organized" sport (if you can call 4 yr old soccer organized) and I think he had fun. Of course all he was really worried about was if he was going to get a trophy at some point ---and I am happy to report, yes he did. Then there are the golf lessons..........once a week (which we will continue through winter). Thank goodness the golf course is practically in our back yard. No running all over town for this hobby ;)Nathan kept us busy too. Baseball this fall was great. He had a great season and once again Daddy was his coach. I love fall ball because it is not nearly as "competitive" as the spring league. The kids really get out there and just have fun.

I love this pic......check out daddy on the mound!

Last event of the fall was Karate. Nathan has been doing karate now for almost 2 years and still likes it a lot. He just had a belt test that promoted him to a brown belt.....this is the first belt of the Upper belt classes. Meaning he is only 4 belts away from becoming a black belt. Go Nate!!!

A Tomahawk Choppin, War Eagle Weekend!!

One word.....Pitiful! Yep that describes me and my blogging these days. If you are a "regular" reader I apologize. It is my goal to catch my "documenting" up in the next couple of weeks. Especially since Christmas is right around the corner.......Oh dear!

Yes, I admit, this post should have been done back in September (right after this fun weekend happened) BUT it didn't, so here it goes..................................The first weekend of September was a lot of fun and full of sporting events. On that Friday, Rod and I took the boys to Atlanta to see the Braves play and the next morning we were off to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the first AU Tigers football game of the season. Phew....we were tired on Sunday.

Having a little dinner at the Braves Chop House while we watched a little batting practice!

Love them.........AND we LOVED our seats!! That is the Braves dugout the boys are standing by.......yep, we were that close :)

Nathan was a dancing machine that night.......this pic was during a little "YMCA"! I have to give him props though, he made it on to the jumbo tron 4 times that night!

A big "Thank You" to these two guys! I went to school at AU with David and Tim when they both played baseball there and we all got to be good friends. They made the boys night even more special. David signed a hat and ball for them and Tim tossed both of them a ball. How AUsome!!!!
By the end of the night this little guy was exhausted. But he pushed through and we made it all the way through the Friday night fireworks display. Which I might add is pretty impressive!

The next morning came quick and we were up and at 'em ready for some Auburn football.
Tailgating with friends!

Cousins ready for some football!
