I am so blessed to have such a sweet boy in Nathan. What 4 year old that you know would be willing to share his sucker with his baby brother? And make a game out of it? I'll tell you who, Nathan Foster. He truly is the best big brother to Wilson. He is always gentle with him, loves to play with him, is willing to share MOST of his things with him.......the list goes on. Wilson absolutely adores him. If Nate is not home when Wilson wakes up from a nap, he is usually pretty fussy until Big Brother comes home.
I have always thought Nathan had a special, kind quality about him. And everyday I watch him interact with other kids, even if its not Wilson ( Stirling loves him just as much), I see more qualities of compassion and kindness in him. Thank you Nate, for being the big boy you are and for loving your brother. Thank you for kindness, your compassion for others and your sweet, sweet demeanor. Mommy loves you more than you will ever know.
I got some footage of the sucker episode............one sucker, two kids, you do what you have to do.

Happy Memorial Day!
Well the holiday has come and gone, but the tiredness is still present. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend.........we sure did. We had a fabulously tiring time. We spent every waking moment at the pool and I do mean waking moment. If it wasn't Wilson's nap time, we were at the pool. We had a cookout at our house one night with family and friends and spent last night at a BBQ at Saugahatchee. Hot, but fun. Nathan loves the pool and is doing fairly well swimming, doesn't like putting his head under or face under that much but not scared to get in. Wilson just loves to walk around the pool and check things out.

Water boys
I have been meaning to post these pics for about a week. They are too funny. We had the baby pool out for Wilson and friends last week. Nate, of course, has to participate when all the babies are done playing in it. First of all, he is the greatest big brother ever. So gentle ( most of the time), loving and kind to Wilson. But on this specific afternoon he decided to put Wilson through a little torture. We noticed he was trying his best to coax Wilson into the pool with him. Little did we know he was going to continuously douse him with cups full of water. The beginning of the slide show starts with Nate by himself. The rest of the pics tell the whole story! Enjoy

Start Smart T-Ball
Nathan just completed a 6 week program (through the Parks and Rec dept) called Start Smart T-Ball. It was for kids 3-4 yrs old, who are not old enough to play real t-ball. It was established to help teach the kids some of the fundamentals of the sport. They learned base running, hitting and dropping the bat (not slinging it), catching and throwing the proper way, hand-eye coordination drills, the list goes on. It did require parent participation, which was great for Rod and Nathan. My dad even filled in one night when Rod couldn't make it. They had the best time. Nate couldn't wait for every Wed. night to come around to go to "baseball practice"!

Spring Sing!
Nate had his end of the year spring sing program today at school. As you can imagine, it was very entertaining. The kids sang a variety of songs they had learned all thoughout the year and were too cute. You would not believe the crazyiness surrounding this end of the year program. Rod dropped Nate off this morning and to his surprise, parents were already putting lawn chairs out at 8:00 (program didn't start until 10:30) so they could be in the front. CRAZY!!!! Anyway, the school year is officially over tomorrow at 12:00 for Nathan. Let the summer fun begin!! Enjoy the clip and photos below.

He CAN Do It!!!! Hallelujah!
The past few days, Rod and I have been trying our best to make Wilson walk as much as possible. Hoping that he will become a little more interested in walking since he is 15 months. I still think he is lazy or better yet unmotivated, but at least this is a start. He truly has started walking more around the house. Crawls occasionally when he wants to get there faster, but is kind of liking the walking thing. Please excuse my awful voice.

Nate in Concert
If any of you know the rap/hip hop song "Low" you will enjoy this. Good thing he doesn't know all the real words to it. ( Or else it might be a little x-rated. ) We heard him singing it while he was coloring the other day. Notice the choreography at the end. :)

A Bubbley Sunday!
If you know my oldest, Nathan, you know he has an obsession with bubbles. Why? I don't know, but he could spend hours blowing bubbles and/or chasing them. Needless to say, Sunday we busted out the bubbles. Wilson loved it as much as Nate. Brad and Stirling came over to hang with us, since Ali was at The Walk to Emmaus. Stirling liked them, but like most girls was over them pretty quickly. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

New House---- Finally!
I have had so many people ask me to post some pics of the new house. Finally, I am getting around to doing it. We are finally getting settled and use to our new home. Nathan loves his room and asks me everyday, "mommy, how long are we going to stay in our new house b/c I love it!!!!???!?!!"
We have a great back yard for the boys. We can already imagine the football and baseball games that will take place back there with their friends in the future. Please come by and visit. We love company!!!!
