A peek into The Foster Christmas Morn!

I am sure, like for us, Santa went overboard at most of your houses. I don't have much to say other than WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!!! Not for the gifts and goodies, but for a loving family, our health and for fabulous friends. But most of all for the birth of Jesus Christ. Happy Birthday Jesus!
Here is a peek into our house on Christmas Morning!

Thanks Santa! But where is my trampoline?

Did Santa really bring me this Elmo? He is freaking me out he is so real! :)

HE DID REMEMBER!!!!!! My Trampoline!!! YEAH!!!!!

Do you think they like it or what?

And this one hasn't stopped jumping since that morning! He loves it!

Off to Nina & Papa's house for our traditional brunch. Yummy!

Twas the Night Before Christmas.....

And off to the church we headed for the Children's Christmas Pageant. We had a special little angel that was singing in the performance. And oh what an angel he is. The cherub choir (Nate's choir) sang Hark the Herald Angels and they were all precious in their angel costumes.

Let us pray!
Of course, we attempted the family picture for Christmas 2008, but as you can see, Wilson was having no part of it. He was ready to go home.
And once we got home, he was all smiles. I love this little mug shot he gave me saying his cute little "CHEEEEEESE"!!!

After a yummy dinner at Nina's, we moved on to a tradition I have started with Nathan. Every year on Christmas Eve we bake a birthday cake for baby Jesus. We sing the birthday song to Jesus and give Nathan the honor of blowing out the candle in honor of Him.

Check out this cute cake topper! By the way, this is that yummy caramel cake I was telling some of you about :). Delicious!

After dessert and all of the Christmas Eve festivities were over it was time to get all the munchkins ready for bed and for the big man in red's arrival.

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!!!!

A Fantasy Night

I know, I know........2 posts in one day? Well I have a little time on my hands waiting on my caramel cake to come out of the oven..........and might I say it smells YUMMY! Anyway, last night we took the boys to Callaway Gardens to see the Fantasy in Lights. It was so much fun. Thank goodness we had opted to do the drive through in our own car b/c let me just tell you it, was COOOOLD last night. Rod and Nathan got us hot chocolate before we started, so we rolled down all the windows, cranked up the heat and enjoyed the show. Nathan of course LOVED every minute of it and Wilson was so mesmerized, he just sat in my lap and talked his little baby gibberish about every light we came too. I hope we continue this tradition every year and MAYBE, just MAYBE........Ali, Brad & Stirling will join us next year. :)

I'm ready mom! Let the fun begin!

My older men, warm and ready!

Ready to roll! Notice the hat didn't stay on too long :)

From a kid's perspective! WOW!

"Look mom, did you see that?" -- I think that is what he said.

QUICK School Christmas Recap!

I can't believe I haven't found the time to post some pics from Nathan's school party and program. (Poor Wilson, sorry we had to miss yours, hopefully you won't remember) I mean, with all the time we have during the holidays you would think I could sit at the computer and keep this blog updated :)-----all joking aside. Nathan had a cute caroling program and a party at school the week they let out for the holidays. It was, as usual, super cute and even more importantly Santa came to visit and read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the whole school.
The kids were so excited. I attached a few pics and a short video of Nate singing in his program -- notice in the video, one of his little girlfriends was not real happy about Nathan bumping into her during the program---hilarious!

As always, after the program parents always commented on how animated Nathan is and how "he must really love singing"! He does love to sing and ham it up in front of a crowd.

Brunch with the Jolly Old Elf!

After church this morning we went to our country club to enjoy a nice brunch with a very special guest. We invited my brother and his family as well as my mom to go with us. Mom was definitely appreciated, she did all she could do so that we could all take turns eating since the 2 littlest ones were not real excited about their high chairs today. Sorry Papa you weren't with us, we missed you. Deep sea fishing was probably more fun for you :). Nathan of course was on edge the whole time. He couldn't wait to see SANTA!!!! It was super cute, Santa and Ms. Clause came around to all the tables and talked for a bit and then we made our way down to the pavilion to sit in his lap and take some pics. Fun morning but most definitely exhausting (right Ali?).

So the question is.......................Who's been Naughty or Nice??????????????? Could it be this little fella and his Nina?

Or is it the beauty queen?

Or maybe it's this little rascal?

STAR STRUCK!!!!

Family picture time
The Wilson Family (Stirling wasn't going without her mommy & daddy) :)

The Foster Boys ( bunny and all)

All in all it was a great morning. Thanks Santa for taking the time out of your busy schedule to drop by AU for a quick visit. Nathan sure hopes you make it back in a week or so. Safe travels and by the way, thank you for the Rudolph noses, we have been giving reindeer kisses all afternoon. :)

Cookies, Cookies Everywhere !!!

This past week a sweet friend of mine hosted a cookie decorating party for all the kids (Thanks Jenny). It was such a fun and cute idea. The kids really enjoyed making the cookies into true masterpieces. And the babies.........well, they just really enjoyed eating whatever cookie, candy, sprinkle or icing they could get their hands on. We had a blast!

Look at the concentration on that face!

The final masterpiece!

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree!!!

The rockin' part didn't actually happen this year considering I didn't get to play my usual fun Xmas music. You see, here in Auburn we had a little breaking news happening among us. Instead of the traditional Christmas cheer, my hubby had me listening to the local sports call in show. He just couldn't miss any and all news that was coming out of the firing of Coach Tuberville. (I feel so bad for all of those coaches and their families as well as the players.)..............Back to the tree decorating.................and then there was my 5 yr old who decided to come down with a fever/sore throat virus of some sort, and he was supposed to be my little ornament helper. I will have to say, he was a trooper for a little while. SO after accidentally tangling and untangling lights, wrapping them around the tree, hanging TONS of ornaments, playing keep the ornaments away from the littlest one, breaking only 4 ornaments (thanks to my "helpers") and oh don't forget listening to all of our favorite holiday songs...............oh yeah, that part DIDN'T happen (can you tell I am bitter about it?), we finally have a beautifully decorated tree.

Without Nathan, I fear I would have decorated the whole thing myself.
Thanks big guy!

And this is pretty much all I got out of Wilson.Which of course ended like this!!!!!!! Maybe he will enjoy decorating the tree next year. :)
