What more could I want?

Probably once a week somebody asks me if we are going to have another baby. I quickly answer them with the common phrase "no, we are definitely done." Their response to that is always ............." don't you want to try for that little girl?" Of course that would be absolutely wonderful but unless the good Lord above can promise me 100% that it WOULD be a girl and she 100% WOULD NOT have colic then the answer is still "we are definitely done". I love my boys and are soooooo blessed that they are so sweet with each other. Don't let me fool you though, I definitely have to get my girl fix with my precious little niece but that pretty much satisfies me. :)
The past week this is how I have found my sweet, sweet boys watching their late afternoon TV. Always curled up together. How adorable is that?
Nate was pretending to be asleep. Wilson would not participate, too much to see.

This was last night. Curled up in daddy's chair. I could just eat them up.

Thank you Lord for these precious blessings you have given Rod and I. You truly knew what you were doing when you gave us boys :)

I've been Tagged!!!!

I was recently tagged by a friend (thanks Amanda) to tell you 10 honest things about myself that you may or may not know. Here goes nothing:

1. I hate this kind of stuff --tagging that is---I don't feel I am really that interesting at this point in my life, but being the good sport that I am, I am doing it. :) Your welcome!!

2. I'm a cooker. Give me a good cookbook or recipe and WATCH OUT!!! It's on, baking included. Whether its good or not is for the eaters to decide. But I will say, my hubby doesn't complain.

3. I love to dance. And yes, like Holly, I love to shake it to some good booty music. But the real surprise is that I took classic dance (ballet, tap, jazz) for 15 years of my life. Age 3-18, so I will brag a little and say " I have rhythm".

4. I always said that I wanted boys when I had children. Guess what, that is exactly what I was blessed with. Good thing too, because I am definitely a boys mom. I will say this though, my sweet niece sure does pull on my heart strings. Love her, Love her, Love her!!!!! BUT........no more kiddos for me ;)

5. This kind of relates to #4............ I LOVE SPORTS!!!!! Not playing them, but watching. I am what some people call a "guys girl". Football, Basketball, Baseball, I love to watch them all. Especially live and in person. But you can definitely find me at home curled up on the couch with my hubby watching whatever is on for that weekend.

6. MARTINIS, MARTINIS, MARTINIS............I love them. Apple (right, Julee?), Chocolate (right, Holly?), French (right, Amanda?), Cosmopolitan...........the list could go on forever. I only drink them on the weekend when I am out with sweet friends, and boy do I look forward to that all week :)

7. Before I became a full time mommy I worked at the hospital in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (which I will be returning to part time in about a week). What I love most about it is, the blood (the bloodier the better--- I know that sound gross but oh well), the adrenaline rush when you help in saving someones life, the satisfaction that goes along with helping someone having a heart attack.

8. I am a reality TV addict......American Idol, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Momma's Boys ( I pray I am never like those moms), Rock of Love the Tour Bus (have you seen this? It's like a train wreck, you just can't take your eyes off of it). The list goes on. And if I am not home to watch them "live" then the DVR is set to record.

9. I couldn't be who I am today without my girlfriends. I am talking about the "old" ones and the "new" ones. What a great support group I have surrounding me everyday. I love all of you!!!!!!

10. All of the answers above are told to you just to make you smile. They are all true, but the most honest thing I can tell you about myself is...................I am known for my strong personality. I am a take charge type of person in "difficult or trying" situations. Just ask my family. But the one thing that scares me more than you may know is what God has in store for my sweet little Nathan. Since he was born, his condition has consumed my thoughts everyday. Not all day, but at least a few times a day my thoughts always turn to his future. When he was born, we always said "we have 5 yrs until we have to worry about this". Well guess what, those 5 yrs have come and gone and now the decisions have to be made. I'M SCARED! That is the honest truth, but I know He has a plan and with all of you super girlfriends mentioned before I know we will get through it.

Now that that is done...........I am tagging.....drum roll please.................................Ashleigh Thompson, Julie Henthorne, Kristin Barron, Joanna Reaves!!!!

Does he hear what we hear?

The answer is yes.............to an extent................Let me explain. Over the past year or so we have been dealing with a lot of unanswered questions about Nathan's hearing. Shortly after Wilson was born we noticed Nathan was watching TV with his head turned so his ear was parallel to the television, and cutting his eyes to the side to actually see the TV. This was our first sign. We took him in and they informed us that his original tube was out and he was so full of fluid he could not hear. I have never heard of an "emergency" ear tube surgery, but that is exactly what happened. After the tube was replaced and the fluid was gone, Nate's hearing should have returned to normal in that ear. The hearing test done by our local ENT showed he still had decreased hearing. Dr. B was not too concerned, so on with our lives we went. Just recently, same thing happened, tube out, full of fluid, emergency tube placement...........you get the picture.:) We went about a month ago for a hearing screening and again the test showed he had decreased hearing in his "good ear". Now, most people don't have to really be concerned with this but as most of you know Nathan is a different story. With only 1 good hearing ear, we are very protective of that hearing-------------so off to B'ham we go! I made the decision to have a 2nd "opinion" hearing test done at Children's with pediatric audiologists and a pediatric ENT. All I can say is THANK YOU for all of your prayers! After an extensive hearing evaluation on both ears the audiologist came to a very pleasing conclusion. His good ear tested completely normal (speech development ranges)--- Praise the Lord! And the nerve in his "little" ear tested normal, which is very good for the future. Thank you all for your calls and concerns and again most of all for your prayers. We truly received an answered prayer yesterday. The only thing we have to remind ourselves is , yes he has normal hearing in his left ear, but he only has 1 ear to actually hear out of. I find myself getting so frustrated when he is in a room with other people and he "ignores"me. So YES the hearing is normal, but he does not hear stereophonically like we do. But this is definitley something we can deal with. :)

I know this was a little long, but so many of you were interested and calling, I figured this would take care of anyone who might want to know.
