A Tomahawk Choppin, War Eagle Weekend!!

One word.....Pitiful! Yep that describes me and my blogging these days. If you are a "regular" reader I apologize. It is my goal to catch my "documenting" up in the next couple of weeks. Especially since Christmas is right around the corner.......Oh dear!

Yes, I admit, this post should have been done back in September (right after this fun weekend happened) BUT it didn't, so here it goes..................................The first weekend of September was a lot of fun and full of sporting events. On that Friday, Rod and I took the boys to Atlanta to see the Braves play and the next morning we were off to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the first AU Tigers football game of the season. Phew....we were tired on Sunday.

Having a little dinner at the Braves Chop House while we watched a little batting practice!

Love them.........AND we LOVED our seats!! That is the Braves dugout the boys are standing by.......yep, we were that close :)

Nathan was a dancing machine that night.......this pic was during a little "YMCA"! I have to give him props though, he made it on to the jumbo tron 4 times that night!

A big "Thank You" to these two guys! I went to school at AU with David and Tim when they both played baseball there and we all got to be good friends. They made the boys night even more special. David signed a hat and ball for them and Tim tossed both of them a ball. How AUsome!!!!
By the end of the night this little guy was exhausted. But he pushed through and we made it all the way through the Friday night fireworks display. Which I might add is pretty impressive!

The next morning came quick and we were up and at 'em ready for some Auburn football.
Tailgating with friends!

Cousins ready for some football!

Ogletree Fun Run 2011

Nathan's school had their annual fundraiser at the beginning of September. The kids love this event and really do get in to it. I am proud to announce that Nathan was one of the top $$ raisers in his class. YAY Nathan!!!! Way to go buddy!

The class got to pick a "team name" so they went with Howell's Hurricanes!!!

Little man came out to support and cheer on his big brother.

On the very last lap, the kids get to grab a parent/or special someone to run it with them! That might have been the most running I have done in a long time, ha ha! ;)

Great job Nathan!

Afterwards, the class got to celebrate with Popsicles!!!!!

Nathan and Walker! You guys did awesome!!!

Big Time 2nd Grader

Yes this post is a little late seeing how we are about to start week 4 of the school year but better late than never, right?!?!?!? Nathan is full speed into his 2nd grade year and seems to be enjoying it. He did say that they sure do have to do "A LOT more work" but he seems happy, so no complaints.
This year Nathan has Ms. Howell for his teacher. She is precious.....very sweet and soft spoken. Thank goodness for the FM system and hearing aide. But Nathan really likes her and so do I.

Meet the teacher night. Nathan & Ms. Howell

Off to the first day of school!!!
Check out his new backpack. He insisted he have an orange one this year for Auburn. Boy is it orange!!!!
Of course, Wilson was extremely happy to see his big brother after a long, boring day at home with mom by himself.

And there is no better way to end a hot first day of school than Popsicles with friends!
