Stage 1, 2 weeks Post-Op

So far so good. Two weeks out from surgery and it is beginning to get hard to keep this little man down. The "no running" rule/strenuous activity is really starting to get hard to enforce. The other day Nathan said "Look mom, I want to show you how fast I can run and it doesn't even hurt!"..........I about passed out. But what do you do?

The ear is still looking good. It still seems to be a bit red to me and Nathan has started complaining about some sensitivity/pain around that area............BUT after a quick phone call to Dr. Jones and speaking with him and his nurse they believe it is all normal in this part of the healing process. Dr. Jones says that at about 2-3 weeks post-op the circulation starts focusing on that new portion of the ear and the increase in blood flow can lead to some sensitivity. He is not running any fever and as stated before is "wide open" so I don't believe there is any infection. Let's just pray it stays this way. :)
