Wilson's addiction!

Okay, here is the dilemma. Wilson has become attached to his "bunny"! And when I mean attached I mean death grip, middle fingers in mouth, throw a tantrum if you take it away, kind of like a drug attached. It started off as just a bedtime thing and now has errupted into this craziness. I will admit it is pretty cute, him carrying around that bunny half way covering up his face and those fingers in his mouth, but come on. He can't eat with it, bathe with it and whatever else bunnies don't need to be involved in. I don't know what to do about it. Any suggestions.
These pictures were taken after his nap. His daddy proceeded to bring him downstairs (after removing bunny from his grips and placing it back in the crib), he went into a terrible tantrum, removed himself from my lap and ran all the way up the stairs back to his room and grabbed it from his crib. When I say run, I mean RUN and crawl up the stairs faster than I have ever seen a baby crawl. He then returned back down the stairs with fingers in place and a smug little grin behind them. I am in for it!!!!

Rescheduled.............thanks to Fay!!!

Well, due to inclement weather here in Alabama (Thanks Fay) we made it half way to Birmingham and had to turn back. Tornado warnings covered most of the area we were headed through and after I pulled over and called UAB, the genetics team and myself decided it would be alot better and safer if we were to reschedule. So we will return to our previously scheduled plan on Sept. 16th. I guess 3 more weeks is nothing compared to the past 4 years we have waited to do this. Your continued prayers are much appreciated.

Please say a prayer for..........

Some of you might remember last month when I posted about our consultation with Dr. Jones in ATL. At the end of the post I mentioned we were going to be going to UAB for an appt. with the genetics team. Well that day has finally arrived. We will be leaving in the morning, bright and early. As I mentioned before, my sweet boy Nathan was born with Microtia/Atresia. Almost 5 years ago when he was born, the doctors here had never really seen a case like his. (as I have done my research, there are alot more cases out there, just not in Auburn) Just recently I have had a Dr. friend inform me that he thinks Nate was born with a syndrome, called Goldenhar Syndrome. Again the doctors here don't know alot about this either. This is what has led us to UAB. We are hoping nothing comes of it and if he does have this syndrome it is a very mild case. After we meet with the genetics team there is a chance we would then be seeing a Cranio-facial specialist. With Goldenhar, you have to worry about the jaw growth. (Nathan already has a crooked smile, cute but definitely crooked) We need your prayers!!!!! Worse case scenerio would be that he would have to have additional surgeries on top of the ones he will have on his ear. These surgeries would be on his jaw, to lengthen the right side.

I know God has a plan for him and us, but I would really appreciate your prayers. God is so good and I know through him everything will be fine in the end, its just getting there. I have to remind myself everyday that God made Nathan the way he is for a reason. Trusting Him to see us through all of this is what we have to do. But as parents, and most of you are, it is hard to not ask "Why?" I have a verse in my bible marked for Nathan and I find myself in situations such as these having to go back and reread it---- Pslm 139: 13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." I mark this verse with a poem that someone sent me a couple years ago. I have shared it with some of my friends but I wanted to post it for those of you who may know or meet a family with the same situation. I know I have kind of rambled in this post, but sometimes it can be quite theraputic to talk about this stuff.

Your Special

On the way from Heaven, God delayed my trip that day. He said that I was special, And then sent me on my way. But not before He kissed me, Right upon my ear. He left His blessed mark to carry with me here. He whispered in my ear right then, that He loved me without a doubt, And then He closed my ear up tight, so the whisper wouldn't get out. He told me both my legs were strong, and would help me stand up tall. He told me both my arms would work, to catch me if I fall. My eyes would catch the memories to store within the pages of my mind. My heart would fill with all of the things I love, so many things I would find. He told me I could fall asleep to my daddy's bedtime tales, And listen while my mommy sings of seas and boats and sails. One ear, He said, could hear the sounds that little birdies make. The other ear was his gift to me, a blessing for my sake. For when I'm feeling sad, He said, my other ear would hear, His whispered words of eternal love, left waiting for me there.

Beach Trip Pt.3--Nate's Night/Last Day

Every year we try to dedicate one night to just Nate (at least since the babies were born). Mom and Dad keep the babies and Brad/Ali and Rod/myself take him to dinner and then to play putt-putt, go karts, or an arcade of some sort. He thinks its pretty awesome. Also attached are some

final pics of our last day. I promise this is the last beach post. :)

Aunt Ali & Uncle Brad plus some go-kart riding with dad!!! FUN!!!

Dinner at Margaritaville! It is great for kids!

If you want to get caught up on our trip, see below the previous 2 blogs. My picture taking is out of control.

Beach Trip part 1 & 40 years later

I haven't posted in awhile but we have been at the beach. We went down last Sunday thinking we were rolling into a disaster since Tropical Storm Fay was headed that way. But surprising enough, we had the most beautiful weather. Sunny and 85 all day long!!!! It was great. Glad to be home, but I wouldn't trade this annual beach trip for anything.
My parents have been taking my brother and I down to the same place in Panama City since we were kids. And we are still going back 15-20 years later with our kids. Mom and Dad in tow.

August 17th (the day we went to the beach) was a very special day. My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. How awesome are they? For their anniversary they wanted to spend a whole week at the beach with all of us. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents. They were in heaven watching all 3 of their grandbabies playing and interacting with one another. It was too sweet! We surprised them the first night down there with a very special dessert after dinner. I had a fabulous baker in Auburn make them a miniature wedding cake. You should have seen the look on their faces when we carried it in.

I will have to post pics in installments due to the ridiculous amounts of pictures Ali and I took. I don't want to over do it for you in just 1 single post. So consider this Part 1 of 3.

Friday Night Fun

This past Friday night, I decided to have Ali and Julie over since they were alone with babies and no hubbies. I thought it would break up the monotony. Next thing we all know its a last minute party! Brooke and Julie H. came and joined the fun as well, bringing their little families. The kids had a blast and there is nothing more enjoyable than friends, pizza, and a water hose. We busted out the camera and got some really fun shots. I can't share them all b/c this would become the longest post ever, but ENJOY!
To all of our friends who weren't there, Brooke has decided my backyard every Friday night is the place to be. Even if I am not home, Brooke will be there to entertain you! :)
The Foster Boys (got to work on Nate's cheesey smile)

Our attempt at a group picture- Nate is too cool!

Sweet Thomas, the bat boy!

Is it me or is Stirling naked in all of her recent photo ops? ( check out Ali's blog)

Beautiful Mackenzie! What a doll!!!!

Cousin drama!!!! Somebody's not happy!

The boys taking a break!

The water hose is discovered, this was the start of an attempt to bathe Stirling. She is having a little tub fear, so the hose is the newest attempt to get her clean. :)

They all decided to join in on the fun! Clothes and all!!!

Thomas has a bit of an obsession with the hose. Hey Brooke, that is some cheap entertainment!

1. What is your first name? Molly
2. What is your favorite food? Japanese
3. What is your favorite color? Black
4. What high school did you graduate from? Auburn High

If you'd like to make one of your own, click the link to Flickr below, and follow the instructions listed here:
a. Type your answer to each of the 12 questions into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd’s mosaic maker.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!

I don't know how it is around your house, but around mine this is all I hear about.........
It's talked about sooooo much that even Nathan ( who never shows any interest in football) is outside tossing around the pigskin.

And this little guy, he has no idea what he is in for. His daddy is starting young with him as well.

But all he really wants, is to know when he is going to get the ball?!?!?!?

I love AU FOOTBALL just as much as the main man in our house, but I can only imagine what it's going to be like in 5 years when I have three Auburn football fanatics. AAAAAHHHH!!!!

Just for Rod------ Only 25 days till kickoff!!!
